Encuentros Cafeteros is an exclusive event focused on the world of coffee that will be held in Barcelona and that brings together 400 industry professionals. The entire event of Encuentros Cafeteros is focused on the South American area, with the aim of expanding and deepening the knowledge of coffees from the countries of Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador, Bolivia and Peru.
In the program of the event, which will be held entirely in the Casino l'Aliança del Poblenou, we find conferences, talks, workshops, cuppings, championships, exhibitions, presentations, exhibitions and other activities. Each of the conferences is aimed at a different industry sector and will have a specialized program adapted to its target audience.
First Day
Coffee Evolution
We will dedicate the first day of the Coffee Encounters to publicize the 5 great branches in which we rely on the evolution of the product and its knowledge.
- INNOVATION: Implementation of improvements and novelties for the production, transformation and service of coffee.
- TRAINING: New trends, market demands and new certifications aimed at professionalizing the sector.
- RESEARCH: searches, advances and development in the world of coffee from seed to grain.
- PRODUCTION: New techniques, experiments and new results.
- INFORMATION: Where to search and where to publish the results. New dissemination formats for the different agents of the coffee chain.
Second Day
Day dedicated to roasters
In the Second Day of Encuentros Cafeteros we can taste the best coffees from Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador. We will taste together with the producers that will present us their new crops, experiments, methods and we will also know the trends of the coming years. This day will also feature the exhibition of Transversal Organizations that work for the social, integral and sustainable development of coffee.
In the afternoon we will meet the winners of the Second Edition of the Vístelo packaging championship. The finalists will be exposed during the three days of the Event.
Third Day
Canal Horeca and Gourmet Sector
We dedicate the last day to Hotels, Restaurants, Cafes and the Gourment Sector. This day we will have 5 barista stations and 5 Brew stations, each one will be dedicated to the tasting of one of the South American countries where the event will focus. In each of the stations we will taste news and new experiments that European roasters have prepared for us both in espresso format and in other formats of filtered coffee.
On this day we will have the final of the Open de Cata in which all the 16 league champions that have taken place during the year 2020-21 will participate.
