Hey, roaster!  We talk to roasting masters from all over the world and ask them the same questions.

Hey, La Cherry Coffee team (Spain)!

What does your typical day look like?
We do a bit of everything xD. A normal day starts with roasting, preparing products for our customers and for our points of sale: the coffeeshop La Cherry in Les Corts and the coffee truck at the University of IED in Gracia. Then we deliver coffee and in the evenings we have team meetings in the coffeeshop. But actually everyday you could find us working in different areas. We roast coffee, run coffee shops, print our bags, and recently we have also opened our own pastry shop.

How long do you work in the coffee industry?
More than 5 years.

Your professional dream is...
To continue our way in the world of coffee and restaurants. To make La Cherry coffee and services available for more people.

What roasting machine do you roast on?
Mill City Roaster 6kg

How do you choose green coffee?
We strongly believe in establishing strong alliances with our partners. Collaborations with professionals allow us to focus on our business: to roast coffee and to provide the best product and a personal warm service to our costumers. We work closely with Mare Terra team to find exciting coffee lots for us and our clients. We choose good-bodied sweet lots, they invite you to have one more cup!

Current trends that affect your work...
The market is changing rapidly and it creates a pressure for the whole coffee chain. From one side, coffee producers have a real economic and social pressure; consumers usually do not see that. On the other side, customers are becoming more demanding and the competition is growing. Our challenge is to remain a sustainable and competitive company.

Your favorite drink, if not coffee:
Beer, of course

Other hobbies?
Food and friends.
Music, football and billiards are always good ways to clear your mind as well.

When you were a child, what did you dream you´d become?
A soccer player or a rally driver. Who did not dream of that?
